 The
Filoxenia Hotel is completely renovated and can accomodate its guests
into 20 comfortable rooms, all equipped with TV-set and direct dial
telephone, and a fine restaurant, where it is possible to experience
the typical Greek cuisine.
 The
hotel facility is located very close to the sea and to the railway
station, right in the heart of the city of Trieste.
This
ideal location allows the hotel's guests to reach the magnificent
Piazza Unità d'Italia, the Opera theatre "G.Verdi"
and the Congress Center “Stazione Marittima”, all of
them within a 5 minute walking distance.
The
hotel facility includes 20 rooms with bathroom, TV, in-room direct
telephone line.
For large families or groups, larger rooms are available.
Special arrangements of the rooms can be set on demand in order to
accommodate disabled guests.
LOCATION
The hotel is located very close to the sea . This perfect location
allows the hotel's guests to reach within 5 minutes walking distance
the magnificent Piazza Unita d'Italia , the Opera Theatre "G.Verdi"
and the congress centre.
The Filoxenia is situated in the heart of the historic center, next
door to the historical landmark of the Church of S. Nicol of the
Greeks.
Very close also to the railway station, to the international bus
station and to the air terminal (reachable by shuttle) , it is
easily accessible from all over the city of Trieste through a very
efficient city bus system. The area is served from a large parking
facility in the foreseeable vicinity (along the shores and in the autosilos).
HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
TREIN
From the Central Station by foot, follow Corso Cavour ,( 5 mins time
) then turn left in Via Mazzini.
AIR
From the air terminal FVG Airport- Trieste Ronchi Dei Legionari:
take the bus for Trieste (APT line 51), up to the Central train
station of Trieste. Then by foot follow Corso Cavour (around 5
minutes) then turn left in Via Mazzini.
BUS
From the Central Station you can reach us by foot through Corso
Cavour (around 5 minutes) then turn left in Via Mazzini.
CAR
From Italy: after leaving the highway, follow thedirections for
Trieste-centro/ Costiera, drive through all the coastal panoramic
road Strada Costiera, the after passing in front of the Central
Station , keep going straight following Corso Cavour and at the
third traffic light park the car (there is a public parking lot on
your right towards the sea) and reach us by foot in Via Mazzini ,
which is the one at the left of the Greek Orthodox Church;
From Slovenia: if you arrive from Lubjana you will pass the cross
border point of Fernetti, then follow the directions to Trieste-centro
until you reach the Central Train Station, then keeping the station
at your right, follow Corso Cavour and at the third traffic light
please park the car and reach us by foot in Via Mazzini;
From Slovenia: if you arrive from Capodistria (Koper) you will pass
the cross border point of Lazzaretto or Rabuiese, then keep
following the directions to Trieste-centro, on the highway
superstrada and take the exit to"PORTO" following the directions
to Trieste-centro, take on the principal street that coasts the sea/
harbor, the once passed Piazza Unit d'Italia (on your right) park
the car and reach the Hotel by foot in Via Mazzini.
RESTAURANT
The FILOXENIA restaurant offers a traditional Greek cuisine fret in
a warm and friendly surrounding.
Taking a plunge in the Hellenic atmosphere, our guests can taste our
many specialties, genuine Greek ingredients and superbly well served
by our Greek chef. A large selection of Greek sweets and wines is
available.
The FILOXENIA restaurant also arranges banquets, lunches, business
lunches and dinners, several kinds of music entertainments on
demand.
